Life Hai Yaar

Sometime life does few things and you don't know why it has happened. There might be so many questions you would seek answers for but you might never find them. You might ask yourself as to why this happened to me or why this happened to that guy. I have seen people who don't smoke, don't drink, lead a very sober life fighting with diseases. I have seen people who pray five times a day, were the class toppers, were recognised by professsors at IIT as the best student they ever had; getting divorced after 8 months of marriage. Sometimes it just happens and you don't know why. You just have to accept.

Nandita sent me a forward today morning and it made a lot of sense. Sometime you just have to say, "Life Hai Yaar!!"

  • I've learned that no matter what happens, or how bad it seems today, life does go on, and it may be better tomorrow.
  • I've learned that you can tell a lot about a person by the way he/she handles a rainy day and lost luggage.
  • I've learned that making a "living" is not the same thing as making a "life."
  • I've learned that life sometimes gives you a second chance.
  • I've learned that you shouldn't go through life with a catcher's glove on both hands. You need to be able to throw something back.
  • I've learned that whenever I decide something with an open heart, I usually make the right decision.
  • I've learned that even when I have pains, I don't have to be one.
  • I've learned that every day you should reach out and touch someone.
  • People love that human touch - holding hands, a warm hug, or just a friendly pat on the back.
  • I've learned that I still have a lot to learn.

Makes sense to me. And yes I have to learn a lot. :-)

Yesss Virdeeji,
That does make a lot of sense.Helped me too in this rough spot! Thanks for posting it.

virdi 5:32 AM, January 13, 2006

I think we need a strong heart and stable brain... thats all...

The problem here is I think from heart... :-)

and the guy I am talking about getting divorced is my classmate... it should not have happened to him... don't know what to say... Profs were always like "if possible I would like to have him as the whole of this batch"

Sorry yaar!!!

Nan,  5:43 AM, January 13, 2006

woah! honorary mention and all! im touched ! :)

a jane,  5:56 AM, January 13, 2006 have turned soppy.
Altho' some of those lines are oh-so-true. Here's one jhaadu (:P) ki jhappi for you! :-)

Vikram 6:02 AM, January 13, 2006

Virdi bhai,

kya hua re? Anyway, chill yaar...there are somethings in life that will always remain unexplained. You have to either take it as it comes and move on or whine about it the rest of your life. If you ask me, the former choice is a wiser choice. :)

virdi 6:04 AM, January 13, 2006

Nan>> Thanks for the mail!! :-)

Ajane>> Thanks for the jhappi... :-)

virdi 6:06 AM, January 13, 2006

Vikram>> No No No... I am not at all crying on anything...

Jo hua aacha hua... Jo hoga aacha hi hoga... :-) Gita mein likha hai...

I am just questioning life... And may be I can get answers... may be I will not... :-) dekha jayega...

//The problem here is I think from heart...

Thats not the only problem, the problem is that you have a chord which directly connects your heart to your mouth. :p

ritzkini 10:54 AM, January 13, 2006

@fao and saami
thanks for the wishes..will have a nice time there..thanks..
happy pongal !! have a great time ! did you both wake up early ?take a bath? malligai poo and cocunut oil in hair ?? and kollams after that ?? samatthuu ponnus, both of u..
reminds me..of the whacky nicks that ppl had in the hostels there..a friend of mine was announcing the names of the winners during a fest..
"And the prize goes to....
*"G-spot" was written on the card given to him*
"guys,what's his name ??"
"Ada chee !! such a beautiful name and G-spot,it seems !!"
One more product of the rigors of ragging by despo seniors,is my guess..

Hobbit,  11:12 AM, January 13, 2006

errr Kinius..dont mean to burst your bubble about marrying the Tam Brahm gal and all that... but Fao San aint Tam..why would she wake up early on Pongal and do the rest of the stuff??? Its a 2 day weekend..knowing her, she'll probably wake up at 7, get outta bed at 10...

and as for me, *sigh* if i did even ONE of what you mentioned, i'd give my dad and my uncle heart attacks and my aunt would probably faint..i like to maintain my image..i'd probably get up late, swearing about noise levels during "hindu" festivals, drink tea, eat everything available, go for bath after hours of incessant begging from relatives, eat again and watch tv in the afternoon and go to a pub in the evening with the boys!

does that concur with your image of the propah Tam Brahm gal?

Hobbit,  11:22 AM, January 13, 2006

Have a good one y'all!!! :-)

Eclectic Blogger 11:31 PM, January 13, 2006

Nice list there.. cant agree more with one than an other!

Casablanca 5:11 AM, January 14, 2006

People love that human touch - holding hands, a warm hug, or just a friendly pat on the back.

Yes, but for some reason, a lot of people deny that. I dont know why it makes them uncomfortable... perhaps they see it as a sign of weakness. Such people have a lot to learn in life.

praveen 10:42 AM, January 14, 2006

happy pongal to you are absolutely right dude, sometimes we really have to accept things the way it is..and keep a positive mind always..

i try to be optimistic in my daily life and i guess i'll never know wat the future beholds for me
