Happy Independence Day

Indian, brothers (and their sisters) and countrymen... Happy Independence Day!!! This was my post last year.
Well this time it was unique because I watched The Rising-Ballad of Mangal Pandey and had dinner with a Pakistani family. My cousin's friend (Shahana) and they had two small girls, really cool :-) "Mera naam Zaara hai, aur yeh Saara hai" with full Oinglish accent. But think about this, Hindustan and Pakistan celebrating Independence day together, isn't that Utopian society?? I wish this happens soon.
About Rising. Well its a documentary movie. Really really great acting by Aamir Khan and Toby Stephens, it could be that first time Bollywood would give and award to a foreigner. Amazing acting by the Brit. Aamir Khan is simply great, he has again shown that he is India's best actor. The way he portays the character is amazing. Everyone knows the story and I need not say anything about it. I liked the acting of Toby Stephens more than Aamir Khan. Go watch!!
PS: ok Mr. Anonymous I allow you to send me crap but I am going to delete them if it looks crap.

Happy Independence Day

On 15th its Independence day of India and warm wishes to every Indian on the planet. And when India celebrates one of its happiest days in the history, one country is being oppressed by a tyrant called George Bush- IRAQ. The war on Iraq is unjust and through my blog I protest the war.
I would like to tell everyone how the coalition lead by USA really works. There are some 23 countries which are currently participating in the war. Please check the names of the countries and the troops involved in it. USA 130,000, United Kingdom 8,761, South Korea 3,600, Italy 3,085 (began phased withdrawal of troops in March 2005), Poland 1,700 (began to withdraw troops in October 2004), Ukraine 1,450 (announced to withdraw troops by October 2005), Georgia 889, Romania 860, Australia 850, Japan 550 (limited to non-combat zones only), Denmark 496, Bulgaria 450(began phased withdrawal of troops in March 2005), El Salvador 380, Mongolia 180, Azerbaijan 151, Latvia 122, Lithuania 118, Slovakia 105, Czech Republic 80, Albania 71, Estonia 55, Macedonia 33, Kazakhstan 25.
Countries with no military involvement. Several countries chose not to send military or combat troops to support the invasion, but instead pledged their solidarity with the Coalition .Angola, Colombia, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Iceland, Kuwait, Micronesia, Rwanda, Solomon Islands, Uganda and Uzbekistan.
And the countries who have left are Nicaragua (withdrew 115 troops in February 2004), Dominican Republic (withdrew 302 troops in May 2004), Honduras (withdrew 370 troops in June 2004), Spain (withdrew 1400 troops in June 2004), Philippines (withdrew 51 troops in July 2004), Thailand withdrew 443 troops in August 2004), Hungary (withdrew 300 troops in December 2004), Tonga (withdrew 40 troops in December 2004), Moldova (withdrew 12 troops in February 2005), Portugal (withdrew 128 policemen in February 2005 ), Netherlands 800 (withdrew 1350 troops in March 2005), Singapore (withdrew its single amphibious transport dock deployed in the Persian Gulf in March 2005 ).
Most of the countries either are newly liberated east European countries or are those who depend on US food supplies and aids. I ask why is did US attack Iraq?? Because Sadam Hussain was a dictator?? Or was he a bad man?? I am very sad for what is happening in Iraq. Most of the big and powerful nations don't support the war and how can we celebrate the Independence day if there is still Imperialism existing in the world?
This is just some data to make everyone understand that the war is unjust and US should leave Iraq as soon as they can. Please Mr. Bush you have given us enough problems now please let everyone live in peace. Even the United Nations Secretary General Kohfi Annan says so.
I would be posting soon on why Bush didn't attack Saudi Arabia although 15 of the 19 hijackers were Saudis (I say Bush and not US because Bush has some companies whose key stock holders are Saudis) , why US has suddenly stop saying anything to China about human rights, why is Pakistan the biggest ally of US in Asia, why US gave $41 million to Taliban in 2001 to fight the mujahedeen, etc etc. I have data to support it.
Happy Independence day to every Indian and may we see a better world tomorrow with out Bush.

I salute the master !!!

Firstly, any girl who is reading this blog might not make any sense to you.
Shane Warne takes his 600th wicket and I salute the master of spin. Taking 600 wickets is like making 15000 runs or scoring 1000 goals in football or running 100 mtrs in 9.5 secs. Some say that Muralidharan is a great spinner but he should try olympic javelin throwing rather than cricket bowling. I literally hate him. He is a cheater.
And Shane Warne has been around billions of controversies; from match fixing, to drugs, to his mom giving him diuretics for performance enhancement, to sex on mobile, to sending dirty SMSs to nurses, to bang bang in a restaurant and to divorcing a mother of 3 kids; but the dedication and devotion he has shown towards the art is phenomenal. Total Ozzy attitude. Although I am not a great fan of Ashes but I am following it this time with great enthu. May the best English win.
Cheers.

Girls and Friendship

I have been on earth for a long time and I am still not able to understand how girls define their relationship with guys. In the movie Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Shah Rukh Khan takes full advantage of this and flirts with one girl and proposes to the other. Well Kajal you didn't define the relationship, now don’t cry, its all your fault.
Kinds of friends girls have. (I am talking about the guy pals the females have)
1. Friend
Well you are like a show piece in my house when ever I need you I will contact you. If you call me home the chances are 9 out of 10 times I might say "Oh Rahul, I am going out can you call me after 2 days??" Rahul "Where are you going Shilpa??" Shilpa says "Non of your business" and bangs the phone. Shilpa : Useless fellow. Hmmph.
2. Good Friend
Well you are like a TV remote control, I need you and I know that but I try using you when I really need you. Rahul calls, "Hi Shilpa", Shilpa, "Hi Rahul. I am going out with family I will call you back. Bye" Shilpa calls back after two days. Shilpa : "What do you want Rahul? Why did you call that day?". Rahul : "Generally". Shilpa : "Oh ok. I got to go out. Will call you later. Bye." Will call when she needs lecture notes or some concert tickets.
3. Very good friend
Well you are like the pressure cooker safety value for the girl. She will need you when she wants to bring out her pain or anger on someone. Basically, she wants to talk to you. And you are special to her. Shilpa : "You know Rahul, Shekhar is not eating. He doesn’t sleep and is not able to concentrate on his studies. I think he doesn’t like me anymore. And yesterday I saw him with another girl". Rahul: "Who is Shekhar??" Shilpa : "My boy friend." Rahul: OK. :-(
4. Best Friend
You are like the auto rickshaw driver. Without you she can't live. And don't be mistaken you are not her boy friend. You are also allowed to take her little doggie around the park so that he can do po-po.
Shilpa: "Rahul Shopping. Rahul Movie. Rahul Coffee. Rahul You pay I am having fun". Rahul is now sure that he should go ahead and propose. He dares and proposes. Shilpa: "But I thought we were just friends. We should remain friends Rahul and I have a boy friend you know that." Rahul: WHAT??? Rahul drinks all night.
5. Best of the Bestest Friends
OK now this guy is really special. He is like the dad-cum-boyfriend-cum-brother-cum-everything. Well ultimately you are the darling servant of the girl now. You take her around. You make her project. You do her assignments. You are allowed to take her doggie around. You can hold hands on the beach. You can see the sun set with her (because she wants to do everything she drags you along). But but but dont be mistaken she has a boy friend who works for a huge software company and earns 3 time the salary you earn and has a flat in Poes Garden or Boat Club or Hira Nandani area. Shilpa: "Hi Rahul. I am getting engaged to Shekhar. Shekhar this is Rahul, he is my bestest friend". Rahul: Hi Shekhar. (Hand shake. Shekhar breaks Rahul's wrist) Rahul is heart broken and wrist broken.
6. Boy friend.
Sorry mate you are screwed.

Well This is just a way to make people (especially guys) understand where they stand in relation with a girl. Now if Ashwin is reading this he should also try and make his head clear, what he thinks about his OGFOM (One-good-friend-of-mine).
Cheers.
