Its one of the most brilliantly made movies. Maa Kasam Maaza Aagaya Dekh Ke.
Its a very emotional movie and I really really wanted Jamaal to get what he wished for in the movie. I don't want to spill the beans, but its based on the reality show "who wants to be a millionaire" and few other real events which have happened in India in recent past.
Bringing all those events together in a movie and then making them into an emotional movie was really brillaint. :-)
Would like to see it again and again, but now that I know the ending I don't know if it would be as exciting as it was when I saw it the first time.
I dont know if many people would believe it but the amount of interest when Kaun Banega Crorepati (Indian version of Who wants to be a Millionaire) was running in India was equal to what has been shown here. I remember very well that my friends and I went to a pub in Chandigarh in 2002 January and we asked the pub guys to change the channel from some shit punjabi music to KBC. Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha !!!! Such was the impact and interest that it generated. Kudos to Danny Boyle & Lovleen Tandan for giving us such a brilliant movie. I think it will have its own impact at the Oscars.
I also saw Ghajani. Its a decent movie but very violent. Worth watching once.
