Same place :-) So many things have changed, specially now I have a great wife and a bad hairline!!
It was freezing on 10th Jan and we had plans to go visit the Greenwich Meridian, although we stuck to the plan it wasn't a great idea. When we reached home we came to know that the temp outside was -2 deg C. Great !!! Anyways brought back memories of when I went there in 2005 summers.
Back then it was a wonderful day and wasn't as cold as it was on Saturday and had a better hairline atleast. He He He He He !!!
Back in 2005, I stood alone across the Western and eastern hemispheres....
And now it was us... We had around 7-8 layers of clothes... It was bloody cold that day, coldest since we came here...
Its one of the most brilliantly made movies. Maa Kasam Maaza Aagaya Dekh Ke.
Its a very emotional movie and I really really wanted Jamaal to get what he wished for in the movie. I don't want to spill the beans, but its based on the reality show "who wants to be a millionaire" and few other real events which have happened in India in recent past.
Bringing all those events together in a movie and then making them into an emotional movie was really brillaint. :-)
Would like to see it again and again, but now that I know the ending I don't know if it would be as exciting as it was when I saw it the first time.
I dont know if many people would believe it but the amount of interest when Kaun Banega Crorepati (Indian version of Who wants to be a Millionaire) was running in India was equal to what has been shown here. I remember very well that my friends and I went to a pub in Chandigarh in 2002 January and we asked the pub guys to change the channel from some shit punjabi music to KBC. Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha !!!! Such was the impact and interest that it generated. Kudos to Danny Boyle & Lovleen Tandan for giving us such a brilliant movie. I think it will have its own impact at the Oscars.
I also saw Ghajani. Its a decent movie but very violent. Worth watching once.
Went to Southall and Central London. Just posting some pics. London can be very cold during the winters. If you come out during the day time the temperature could be mild and around 3-4 deg C. But after sunset if you venture out around the river, its very very cold. The best thing to do when you go out in winters in London is, "wear all the bloody clothes you have, cap, gloves & scarf are necessary items !!!" Thats what we have learnt.
Trupti got very excited when she saw that the name of the station was written in Punjabi & along with the usual English. She is doing "Bhavdeep look at this !!!" The Gurudwara Singh Sabha at Southall. This is the biggest Gurudwara in the whole of Europe. We went with Teji and had Langar there. And later we came to know that it was Guru Gobind Singh Ji's Birthday as well. Cool.
Inside Galassy Junction.
Berlin Wall, just outside the Imperial War Museum. Teji & I, showing off our "Mardana Side" in front of the tank. London Eye in the night time. It was very cold around -2 deg C but whole lot of people were out and everyone was ready for a party. No one was talking about how cold it is, they were just enjoying the evening.
